Hello, Hallo, Olá
A few posts ago, I shared with you a small declutter and a list of products I wasn’t yet sure if was going to keep or declutter. These were on my chopping block. I decided I´d use these products for a week and then after having had time to play with them, decide what to do. Here is the update to that!
Urban Decay Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette
This was one of the biggest items on the chopping block. I don’t hate it, but i also don’t love it. And because of that i rarely reach for it. The shades perform as nicely as always and I enjoy some of them a lot. But overall i just feel quite meh about it. I will be selling it and hopefully someone will want to get it. If not i might just pass it on to a friend who won´t mind a gently used palette.
Isana Face Primer
On the first day I used this product, I immediately got many breakouts. I do get some breakouts from time to time, but at this moment, it looked like they popped out all at the same time and invited some friends. I used it for another 2 or 3 days and all this time my breakouts kept strong and some other appeared.
I wasn’t 100% sure if it had to do with the primer or if the breakouts just were related to some other cause, but I decided to stop using it. Coincidentally, after I stopped using, my skin cleared almost immediately. So, this product is for sure not staying in my collection. Because I just used these 3 to 4 times, I´ll see if a friend wants to try it. If not, I´ll just throw it away.
Aside of it, i did notice it did all things it promises to do: it smoothed my pores, helped controlling the shine for a bit longer, and it seemed to disguise small wrinkles an small texture issues.
Kiko Eyebrow Set in the Shade
This item was brand new and I wasn’t sure if the shade would be a good match. I also didn’t feel like using it because I just starting using a new Catrice eyebrow pencil and I have really been liking it. So, I will also be decluttering it to a friend. It will be practical to have not just the shades but also the tools to make you eyebrows look good.
Essence Lipstick in the shade #11 and #07
Both of these lipsticks are going for sure. I didn’t even feel to reach for them – I forced myself to use each once and I wasn’t happy. There is no point in keeping any of them because I know I won’t be reaching for them. The #11 is a pink berry shade that just doesn’t sit right on my skin tone. The #07 is unfortunately too cool toned for my taste – it has a light mauve touch to it and that is a color i don’t like on my lips.
I have used this a couple of times before, but i just am not a gloss person. The color is pretty though, and i can imagine it makes for a great lipstick topper. It is also opaque enough to be worn on its won.
Benefit High Beam Liquid Highlighter
This was probably the product I was most excited to try and the first time I went to use it, I realised it had dried out. This went straight to the trash bin, sadly.
Apparently, all items will in a way or another be discrarded. But I still feel that if you are on the fence about a product, the best way to decide is to take some time to really try it again. What do you usually do when you are unsure as to if you should declutter something or not?
