Stash Series – Concealer & Powder

Hello, Hallo, Olá!

This is the second installment of my Stash Series (catch the 1st part here). After Fondations are Primers, we are till in the circle of face products but todays´stars are the concealers and face powders in my stash.

Concealer / Corrector

Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Precision Concealer

This is the concealer I have been using for most of this year. I bought a few months ago and have been using it ever since. Although i use it everyday, i still can’t seem to have an opinion on it. I bought it in hopes it would work as a concealer and corrector as well, and as far as the shade, I think  020 rose beige is quite a good shade for me for that purpose. This color is near my skin tone (i don’t like to use a lighter concealer shade under my eyes, it doesn’t look good on me), which i really like and because it has a peachy pinky hint to hit it helps just a little bit to conceal my dark circles. However, i feel it doesn’t offer quite the coverage I would like. It creases a bit but nothing that bothers me. I like the thin applicator. I usually blend it in with my fingers or with a sponge and either way, the result is good. I haven’t tried it on blemishes though, so i can’t really recommend it for that. Overall, i think it is an OK concealer, but i don’t think it is the absolute best.

Essence Camouflage+  Healthy Glow Concealer

There are two versions of this concealer: this one and a matte one. I picked this concealer in the healthy glow formula quite recently and I still haven’t used. I am hoping it might be a good alternative to my current Catrice HD Liquid Coverage. I´ll report on it as soon as I have tested it enough.

Miild Organic Mineral Concealer Duo

Miild is a brand I have been very intrigued by and I was lucky enough to win a giveaway hosted by Signe aka Use Less / Klarify.me and Miild as the brand made its debut selling in Germany. This was on of the products I won. This is their lighter shade in Light.

I have been using it for around a week now and i really like it. The pink shade is very brightening – which is something I didn’t really have in my collection. Someday though I feel it is too bright so i just go over it with the actual concealer shade, which is a very good match for my skin tone. Sometimes I will just use the concealer, it kind of depends on my mood. I don’t think they are very full coverage – they are more on the natural side, so if you struggle with really dark circles or pigmentation, I am not sure if this would add anything to your routine. For my needs though, it is enough. ANother thing i really like about the product is its texture. I thought it would be more of a hard / dried cream product, but I feel it glides pretty well on the skin without tugging on it. It doesn’t overly crease even if I don’t set it. All in all I do really like this Duo.

Face Powders

Catrice All Matte Plus translucent Face Powder in 001 Universal

This is my first and so far only translucent pressed powder i have ever bought and for the longest time, i didn’t pay any attention to it. During the Summer i was wanting to tone down the shine on my skin and as i was searching for something in my make up drawers, i saw this and decided to give it a go. What can I say…I am hooked! The powder is very fine, leaves no white cast (at least in my experience), mattifies the skin upon applying and helps to tame the shine through the day and it even blurs a bit fine lines. I use it under my eyes and all over my face and it does a great job. This is a product i didn’t know i needed or would enjoy until i started using it. Now it’s a staple in my daily make up.

And we are all done concearning concealers and face powders. Quite easy and painless, right? Next I will be showing you my bronzer and contour powder stash. Stay tuned!
